Ashley and Andy’s Wedding

Ashley contacted me via e-mail inquiring about wedding photography. We set up a meeting it hit it off very well. I learned she was a personal chef and full time mom. She also was engaged and in love with Andy. Andy as it turns out played softball in the same league as myself on a different team. After spending some time with Ashley discussing ideas and plans we set the wheels in motion. Ashley and Andy had booked the Stonehouse in Nevada City and were going to have a small, yet intimate wedding surrounded by family and friends. The wedding day finally arrived and all the planning and decorating paid off as Ashley was able to transform her visions into reality. Ashley and Andy recited their vows and mingled with family on May 19th 2012. They danced, laughed, and cried a little as family and friends celebrated their love for one another. This was the first wedding I actually have shot in my hometown Nevada City, and it was so much fun. It was nice catching up and visiting with so many people that I knew. I would like to thank Ashley and Andy for sharing their day with me. Also I would like to thank my Lorrin for helping me shoot and contributing to these photos.

Andrew and Jessica Ortega

This was a fun wedding to shoot at an amazing venue. Andrew was a groomsmen and Tony Parenti’s wedding and had kept me in mind. So when he proposed to Jessica, and they started making plans they contact me. I was stoked to hear from them and we used face-time and email to communicate ideas and thoughts. The wedding was small and intimate, as they were surrounded by close family and friends. The venue belonged to Jessica’s boss and was located outside of Aptos, CA. WE could not have asked for a more gorgeous day to celebrate this marriage. Bella, Jessica’s daughter was having a great time with her friends and her new dad Andrew! Just a few days before the wedding Andrew adopted Bella and became her dad :) Also to add to the epic-ness of this day; there was a taco truck wheeled in!!! They served up some awesome fresh tacos. I am for sure keeping that idea in mind if I ever get married. This night was a blast and I enjoyed celebrating with these two. Soon after the wedding Andrew and Jessica packed up, and headed out to Ohio were Andrew and Jessica’s are attending school.

Jason and Megan Wed

After Jason and Megan’s engagement session in Truckee last fall, I knew that their wedding was going to be awesome. I arrived at The Flower Farm which is located in Loomis,CA and was totally pumped because of all the potential for images. These two, along with family and friends, did such a fantastic job setting up and decorating the venue. The theme of the wedding was a kinda rustic/barn feel. The wedding went off without any hold ups or snags and the wedding coordinator Carrell, from InnCredible Events, did a fantastic job. She was super organized and maintained phone/e-mail contact all the way up to the day of the wedding. Also DJ Joe from sj’s disc jockey rocked the wedding with great tunes. I was happy to be included and experience all the smiles and laughs that were shared on this great sunny day. It is always nice shooting for people you know, and consider friends. Jason and Megan are truly best friends, and it’s no doubt in my mind that they will enjoy a life long of happiness. I was honored to be present on their wedding day. I would like to thank my partner, fellow employee, and girlfriend Lorrin Alexis Anderson for helping me and providing some of these great images. Also I would like to include that Megan and Jason just recently got a black lab puppy named Beau. He is pretty, freaking, awesome!!!

Eric and Amber Chabino

I came across this wedding because my girlfriend’s aunt was getting married. Earlier on in their lives Amber and Eric had a kind of spark between them, but it wasn’t their time and they drifted apart instead. Until recently, well in the past couple of years, they began talking again and the spark reignited. They fell very much in love with each other and decided to get married. This wedding was planned and put on by Eric and Amber with help from family members and friends. It was very much a green wedding and themed straight out of the 1940′s with wardrobes, posters, and table arrangements. Eric and Amber were working so hard before and during the big day that they almost didn’t get changed in time for the actual ceremony. The ceremony was held at a private house in Lake Wildwood CA, and the reception was held just down the street at the community center. The food was pretty amazing as it included smoked meats, delicious cheeses, and some of Eric’s home-made brew. Family members enjoyed dancing, and Das Booth activities. Milk and cookies were served to finish off the evening.
